Traveller Deckplans Webring
Welcome to the home page of the Traveller Deckplans Webring. This webring
is designed as a complement to the Traveller
Webring and the Traveller
Gearhead Ring, allowing Traveller fans to easily find starship deckplans
on the web.
Here is a current index
of sites on the webring.
Included in this webring are (or will be) sites containing deckplans
for all Traveller rule sets, including:
Joining the Traveller Deckplans Webring:
To join the webring, your site should include at least one complete starship
with a deckplan. If your site has only one starship, the web page you submit
to the ring should be the page for that starship - if you have more than
one, submit a page that you can get to your designs from.
Starships should include, at minimum, the following:
-
Identification of what rule set they were designed under, including
any "house rules" or other variants
-
Name and Description of the Ship
-
Statistics for the rule set (or sets) the ship was designed for
-
Deckplans, including map key
-
Copyright information (required*)
Other good things to include for your designs:
-
Campaign notes: Was this ship used in your campaign? What kind of
history would it have in a Traveller universe?
-
Detailed area descriptions: A map key with just "Airlock" and "Bridge"
is OK, but proper detail can really bring a ship to life.
-
Illustration: An exterior sketch (or fully realized picture) of
the ship will, just like detailed area descriptions, help to fully realize
your starship.
-
Designer's notes: Did you do anything unusual while designing this
ship? Did you make it to test out a certain idea, or push the boundries
of a certain rule set? Did the design confront you with any unexpected
challenges?
-
Variants: Ideas for other uses this ship could be put to, other
ways this ship could be encountered in a campaign.
