SCULPTURE BY TERRY L. H. SLADE

Lacoste School of Art 1998  /  Lacoste, France

In the fall of 1998, I was invited to work at the Lacoste School of Art. The major sculptural material available was a beautiful, fine grained local limestone. The environment was so stimulating; in one week I produced seven stone carvings, resulting in two installations and numerous drawings made with the sand and dirt from the area. I’ll never forget that week in Lacoste. The following images are examples of the work from that week.
