Fragment of onion-stone detached from a crumbling, poorly maintained, and
remarkably plain sixteenth-century tomb tucked away in an obscure corner
of St. Praxed's Church in Rome.  While the identity of the tomb's occupant
remains unknown, the poor quality of the materals and workmanship suggest
that he must have been a personage of little importance.  Provenance: C. F.
