"Fewmets" or "Fumets," droppings which aided King Pellinore in his
legendary pursuit of the Questing Beast. After
being stored for many
years in the king's helmet, these objects, even then
nearly in a state of
petrifaction, were, upon the ocasion of his death, distributed
as keepsakes
to those whom he had judged the most faithful of his retainers.
