Dr. Richard Benner's Research

Research Interests - Dr. Benner's research has included the development and implementation of novel new instruments for studying atmospheric phenomena such as air pollution and atmospheric chemistry, and has spent several years working on state-of-the art fuel cell research. He is holder of two United States Patents and several of the instruments that he has developed are being sold by scientific instrument companies. He has published over 40 scientific papers and reports and presented his research at approximately 60 scientific conferences. His research projects have led him to nearly every state and seven foreign countries. He has also consulted to a broad range of companies, universities, private organizations and governmental agencies on issues concerning the environment, chemical safety, and chemical instrumentation.

Dr. Benner is continuing this research since his arrival at Hartwick College in 2001.
